A hidden gem tucked away in the canyon from the hustle of Los Angeles. This home was one of the original structures along Beverly Glen, c1900. Our intent here was to create a coherent three story residence for this family of 5 while respecting the cabins aesthetic.

To create a successful three story home, we inserted a winding staircase between the Master Bedroom and the main living area. With the addition of the staircase a large raked picture window was inserted framing a beautiful, mature California Oak.

The exterior was simply clad in Western Red Cedar and given a dark patina which allows the landscape to step forward, and partially conceal the home.
